Description

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WORDS, DHINC EBAY WATERMARK ARE NOT ON THE ITEM ITSELF
You are bidding on an old original letter that was sent on the letterhead or stationery of the Department of Interior, United States Indian Service, Union Agency, Muskogee, Indian Territory, of course now  Oklahoma.  It was addressed to an attorney in Muskogee, and was evidently a form letter removing the restriction upon the alienation of allotted lands.  It has a stamped signature of the US Indian Agent, and is dated November 22, 1906. It measures approx. 8”  x 10 1/2”.  It was folded in half once horizontally and then twice vertically, of course leaving a crease at each fold.  There is a little wear at the corners and edges and it has darkened or foxed with time.  There is similar wear on the back of the letter and an darker area of spotting or foxing.  PLEASE SEE OUR PICTURES AND/OR SCANS FOR MORE CONDTION DETALS AND
